A Schematic Model for ρ-a1 Mixing at Finite Density and In-Medium Effective Lagrangian
Based on schematic two-level models extended to a1-meson degrees of freedom, we investigate possible mechanisms of chiral restoration in the vector/axialvector channels in cold nuclear matter. In the first part of this article we employ the massive Yang-Mills framework to construct an effective chiral Lagrangian based on low-energy mesonic modes at finite density. The latter are identified thro...
متن کامل2 A schematic model for QCD at finite temperature
The simplest version of a class of toy models for QCD is presented. It is a Lipkin-type model, for the quark-antiquark sector, and, for the gluon sector, gluon pairs with spin zero are treated as elementary bosons. The model restricts to mesons with spin zero and to few baryonic states. The corresponding energy spectrum is discussed. We show that ground state correlations are essential to descr...
متن کاملProperties of vector mesons at finite temperature: Effective Lagrangian approach.
The properties of ρ-mesons at finite temperature (T ) are examined with an effective chiral lagrangian in which vector and axial-vector mesons are included as massive Yang-Mills fields of the chiral symmetry. It is shown that, at T 2 order, the effective mass is not changed but only the mixing effect in vector and axial-vector correlator appears. PACS numbers : 25.75+r, 11.10.Wx, 11.30.Rd Types...

متن کاملQED effective action at finite temperature and density.
The QED effective action at finite temperature and density is calculated to all orders in an external homogeneous and time-independent magnetic field in the weak coupling limit. The free energy, obtained explicitly, exhibit the expected de Haas – van Alphen oscillations. An effective coupling at finite temperature and density is derived in a closed form and is compared with renormalization grou...
